Collection and storage of personal data

When visiting the website

When you visit our website, data is automatically transmitted by your browser.

• IP address of the requesting device
• Date and time of the request
• Name and URL of the retrieved file
• Website from which access is made (referrer URL)
• Browser and operating system used
• Name of your access provider

These data are technically necessary to display the website and ensure stability and security.

When using the contact form

If you contact us via form, your details are stored to process the request.

• Name
• Email address
• Message content

For sending the contact emails we use the service provider Resend (Resend, Inc., USA) as a processor; your details are transferred to the USA in the process (basis: recognised data-protection frameworks or standard contractual clauses). No further disclosure to third parties takes place.

When registering a customer account

For the INAT customer account (licence and workspace management) we process:

• Name and, optionally, company name
• Email address (with verification)
• Password (stored only as a cryptographic hash)
• Licence, workspace and device data of your HIVE installations

Cookies

We only use technically necessary cookies.

• lang: Stores your language choice (12 months)
• auth_token: Keeps your customer-account session signed in (7 days, 30 with "remember me")
• license_token: Connects the customer account to the licence service (same lifetime as the session)

You can delete cookies in your browser at any time.

Hosting and server location

The website and customer account run on servers operated by Hetzner Online GmbH (data centres in Finland and Germany). Personal data is therefore disclosed to these countries; both provide a level of data protection deemed adequate and equivalent to Switzerland's (EU/EEA).

Data in the desktop app

The desktop app stores data locally and encrypted by default.

What is stored

Your company and customer data are stored locally.

Optionally, the desktop app can connect to a remote workspace.

Telemetry and crash reports

The desktop app transmits anonymous usage statistics and crash reports to our servers to improve stability and quality. This data contains no customer, invoice or other business data and no information that identifies you directly.

• License and activation status

Retention period

We store personal data only as long as necessary for the stated purposes or legal obligations.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, deletion, restriction of processing, and data portability.
